The sculpture, ’Growth’, stands right where Fiskergade open onto the pedestrian precinct.

With its fingers pointed towards heaven, the sculpture articulates a sprouting power which is reminiscent of an onion’s flowers, stretching its leaves towards the spring sun. At the inauguration in 1974 Mayor S. E. Kristensen referred to the sculpture as a symbol of the town’s growth and well-being.
