Karl Åge Riget employs the stem forms of geometrics – square, triangle, and circle.

The sculpture has to be apparent and precise in its form. He is inspired by machines of every kind from the industry. In his sculptures machine parts are abstracted, and via this, he sees aesthetics where no one else would.

In nature his sculptures which were set up in 1990, stand out because of their focus on straight lines and clear idioms. They stand out as the essence of man’s way of communicating in our time. We read the paper in columns, and the geometric shape has become an unmistakable part of human culture.

In ’Collaboration’, the two black rectangles hold a smaller, shiny part soaring between them. It consists of general, circular holes and small squares, which form a delicate balance with the other elements. It mimes a gigantic robot which speaks the simple idioms of industry.
